(Contains no-detectable amounts of THC via third party testing)
After processing the regular distillate, it then goes through flash chromatography where we remove the trace amounts of THC. This means the same great CBD without any of the psychoactive cannabinoids left over.

How Is THC-Free CBD Distillate Made?
After we extract the CBD from our organic hemp plants, we put the distillate through a meticulous process called chromatography. The chromatography process removes any trace of THC while leaving all the beneficial CBD, terpenes, and flavonoids intact. What’s left is crude oil that’s 90% pure cannabidiol (CBD).
What Are the Differences Among THC-Free Distillate, Full-Spectrum Distillate, and CBD Isolate?
When we extract CBD from hemp plants, it starts out as a full-spectrum distillate. Full-spectrum distillate contains all of the essential hemp compounds, including up to .3% delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). To create our THC-Free CBD Distillate, we use chromatology to pull out all of the THC, leaving us with a broad-spectrum CBD product.
Both full-spectrum and broad-spectrum (THC-free) CBD distillates allow consumers to take advantage of the beneficial entourage effect among cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. The only difference is that broad-spectrum products like our THC-Free CBD Distillate don’t contain any detectable levels of THC.
Unlike full-spectrum and broad-spectrum distillates, which include terpenes, flavonoids, and alternative cannabinoids, CBD isolates only contain cannabidiol. CBD isolates are especially useful for people who may need to be screened for cannabis for employment or legal reasons. However, CBD isolates won’t produce the entourage effect because they lack the other hemp compounds.

How Much CBD Distillate Should I Use?
The amount of THC-Free CBD Distillate you decide to add depends on several factors, such as intended use, your tolerance level, and the desired results. Fortunately, our distillate is almost pure CBD, so it’s simple to measure quantities. You can find out how many milligrams you’ll need by consulting our handy online CBD dosage calculator.
What Happens if I Take Too Much THC-Free CBD Distillate?
Fortunately, you cannot die of an overdose of CBD. However, higher dosages of CBD may produce mild side effects, including:
- Dry mouth
- Sleepiness
- Decreased appetite
- Dizziness
- Diarrhea
If you experience side effects, cut down on the quantity of THC-Free CBD Distillate you consume next time.
How Should I Store THC-Free CBD Distillate?
As with most hemp and cannabis extractions, you should store your THC-Free CBD Distillate in a cool, dark place. If you avoid exposing your distillate to light and heat sources, it should last for many months without any noticeable degradation in potency.
Will THC-Free CBD Distillate Make Me Feel High?
CBD distillates won’t make you feel intoxicated or “stoned” like traditional cannabis extracts. The intoxicating feeling you get from regular cannabis comes from THC binding with CB1 receptors in the brain. CBD doesn’t bind strongly with these receptors and won’t produce intense psychoactive effects. Since we’ve removed any trace of THC, you’ll never need to worry about any unwanted intoxication with our THC-Free CBD Distillate.
Will THC-Free CBD Distillate Register on a Drug Test?
Since our THC-Free CBD Distillate has no detectable levels of delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, it is unlikely to show up on a drug test. However, you may feel more comfortable switching to a CBD isolate if you’re expecting an upcoming drug screening for cannabis. You may also want to inform the testing authority that you’ve been taking CBD.
Can I Take THC-Free CBD Distillate with My Prescription Medication?
Unfortunately, CBD products do interact with some prescription and over-the-counter pharmaceuticals, making them stronger. Please ask your physician if you can take CBD with your regular medications.
